What unusual fruits would you like to have a first taste of?

I'm from a tropical country so I've yet to try uncommon, non-tropical fruits. But I would like to try these two someday:

1. Pineberry - white, fragrant strawberries with a slight pineapple taste (Hmm? Looks really enticing, too!)

2. Pomegranate (My Mom says I must've already eaten one of these when I was still 6 or 7 years old. She says an Uncle had a shrub of it in his garden and we used to call it 'granada' but I don't remember the taste of it. Haven't found anyone selling this kind of fruit here ever since)

I've wanted to try passion fruit if there is such a thing. I know there is flavored stuff that is the flavor of passion fruit and it wasn't that enticing, but artificial flavorings aren't always as good as the fruit, or they don't resemble the same taste.

Oh wow! What a good choice. You should definitely try an actual ripe one. I've only actually tried the yellow-peel variety though but they say the violet ones are tastier.

When I was in grade school, we used to buy fresh ones at our school canteen. We would peel a hole at the top of the fruit, put our forefinger in and then squish the insides around until it becomes juicy then sip the juice along with the seeds. It's very tangy and sour but it tastes good with a little bit of salt sprinkled in.

Sounds good. I'll have to see if the stores around here have any, and if they are particular during a certain season.

Oh indeed! It's probably the tastiest guava variety that I have had. It's quite rare though, which means the supply doesn't last long.

I'd love to try rhubarb someday. Passion fruit sounds good too.

I love getting new things i haven't tried before and eating them. I do this a lot. I recently got a honey kiss mellon and a lemon drop mellon. I loved the lemon drop mellon, it was like a canilope with a hint of lemon to it. Very nice. But I did not like the honey kiss mellon. It had that taste that old water mellon does when the flavor left but the water is still there. That might have been my falt though, I took a while to try it.

Hear me now and believe me later when I say that durian is one fruit that you never ever want to even consider thinking about trying... they say that its got a creamy texture, but it's the taste/smell that will turn you off the fruit.
